  I was shocked this afternoon by the extremely poor, and even rude, reception by one of the young ladies. This assistant was standing by the counter chatting to whom I assume was another male assistant (very young, tall, thin with died white hair). I said I need to purchase some slippers and the female assistant pointed very vaguely to the 'Mens' slippers on the shelf behind me. I stated I was female and wished to purchase ladies slippers. However, I receive an extremely rude attitude - more or less pointing to the ladies shelf. Because the information was so vague I did not immediately see them. It was obvious no further help would be given to me - I had no alternative but to say 'forget it' and walk out the shop. A great pity because I have always had excellent service (from older assistants) in the past. What on earth is Clarks doing to employ such rude assistants? I will not return to Clarks Bodmin unless this young lady is off duty.
